how it started
a friend gave me her old DSLR in high school, and from there I started to lug a camera around for every occasion. my junior year of college, I joined the newspaper staff and eventually became photo editor. I had NO IDEA what I was doing, but I was surrounded by amazing creatives and photographers who taught me so much of what I know. I started out in sports, but within the next year I was shooting seniors, engagements, and dipping my toes into weddings.
how it’s going
I’m actually a full-time physician assistant, and photography took the back burner while I was in grad school. I’ve been working for a few years now, and I’ve felt a heavy tug lately towards pursuing photography more seriously. thankfully, I have a very flexible work schedule that allows for that! my dream is that I’ll eventually tip the scales and make photography my full-time gig.
